If I can't find something - the answer should be - I make it myself!
I am not talking in the literal sense as I would need the relevant textiles skills and qualifications. Nevertheless, the idea of opening my own boutique is becoming more and more like a reality of the near future now.
At the moment I am on the hunt for those staple wardrobe pieces but I am finding it very difficult to locate those pieces within my budget. That is not to say I have a very tight budget suited to the likes of Primark and New Look attire. I am happy to pay the right price for a quality fabric that will last more than four washes and for genuine leather shoes.
-I do not understand why lingerie shops sell skin tight lacey dresses as the only nightwear alternative to boring cotton PJ's. How about a chic silk playsuit in a subtle nude or off white colour.
-Ankle straps can be really flattering so why not make more high heeled shoes with a strap and closed toe (no matter how much they try to put it out there, open shoes and tights are not a good look in the winter).
-Pointed shoes are so sophisticated and have merged back into the fashion arena lately. Why not add a modern twist and bring out an evening shoe with a pointed front AND platform with ankle strap or closed top design.
-Cheap stretchy jegging style fabric does not constitute as a pair of jeans so should not be sold as them!
